According to Ricky Gervais, the success of his drink company, Dutch Barn Vodka, has allowed him to purchase a billboard on the London Underground.

But the After Life actor said on X that London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s TfL had prohibited the advertisement he chose because of its catchphrase.

Gervais has a history of stirring up controversy with his drink marketing strategies; in March of last year, he acknowledged that his advertisements were “destroying” the brand.

They promote the alcoholic beverage and frequently use profanity along with Gervais’s trademark dark humour and coarse language.

In this case, Gervais proposed a billboard that featured him holding up a glass of Dutch Barn Vodka and said, “One day you’ll be underground for good.”
