Head coach: Mike McCarthy is shocked, WR CeeDee Lamb terminate his contract with Dallas Cowboys and also announce that…

Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who led the league in catches and all receivers in touchdowns (14) last season, and set single-season franchise records in both catches (135) and yards (1,749), is by far the Cowboys’ most potent offensive weapon. The Cowboys have been criticized throughout the offseason for their unconventional decisions, one of which is delaying contract extensions for quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and edge rusher Micah Parsons. Lamb, for his part, has made it clear how he feels about that.Cowboys hire Mike McCarthy for experience, proven track record - Sports Illustrated

With 14 touchdowns last season, Lamb led all receivers in receptions and led the league in catches, making him the Cowboys’ most potent offensive weapon. In addition, he set franchise marks for the most catches (135) and yards (1,749) in a single season. With Michael Gallup no longer there, Lamb’s receiving corps is far from ideal.

Lamb wants his pay grade to match the Cowboys’ understanding of their need for him. Justin Jefferson, a receiver with the Minnesota Vikings, created history when he signed a four-year, $140 million contract ($110 million guaranteed), with an average salary of $35 million annually. With guarantees over $100 million, Lamb seemed destined to make at least $32 million, given the current pay of top receivers like him.

Will CeeDee Lamb persevere in hanging around?
