After pulling ahead of Ryan Blaney on the last restart of the race on Sunday, Larson won the Brickyard 400 under caution. Before NASCAR eventually issued a caution for Ryan Preece’s stalled car on the backstretch, Larson was given the go-ahead.

On the penultimate lap, Preece spun off Turn 2 and collided with the inside wall; however, NASCAR failed to issue a flag for more than thirty seconds because Preece was unable to restart. According to NASCAR regulations, the race was declared ended when Larson raised the white flag to signal a caution. Another restart would have been required if the caution had been issued prior to Larson beginning his final lap.John Force says you can call him anything you like, but don't call him the  GOAT | NHRA
