Bundesliga team ‘in negotiations’ with Leeds United player; former Nottingham Forest manager is front-runner for Championship position

Following a close 1-0 loss to Southampton in the play-off final at Wembley on Sunday, Leeds United will play in the Championship for another season. In a game of scant opportunities, Adam Armstrong’s goal in the first half was sufficient to separate the two teams. Leeds came agonizingly close to promotion once more towards the end of the second half, but Dan James’ shot from the edge of the box struck the underside of the bar. Despite scoring 90 points in the regular season, the Whites had to make do with the play-offs.

Now that they have been demoted from the Premier League, Luton Town, Sheffield United, and Burnley are expected to be among Leeds’ potential promotion rivals. Preparations for the upcoming season will commence.
