RC Lens are reportedly “not totally closed” to rescheduling their Ligue 1 clash against Paris Saint-Germain in April to aid the reigning champions Champions League preparations, according to RMC Sport.
PSG, who progressed to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals at Chelsea’s expense, have a congested schedule. Luis Enrique’s side face Liverpool at the Parc des Princes on April 8 before traveling to Anfield on April 14.
Sandwiched between those fixtures is the Ligue 1 game against Lens, who are just a point behind PSG despite having a game in hand.
Lens manager Pierre Sage had previously insisted it was “too late” to postpone, adding: “I don’t think that PSG need that to be competitive against us.”
RMC Sport now reports that Lens could reconsider if the rescheduling “makes sense” for the club, leaving the door open to a possible adjustment in the fixture list.
