- Originally intended to escape obscurity, I saw the record as a poster with glittering calligraphy on gold leaf that said, “Come and hear 100 songs.” After that, I considered hiring four drag queens to do a set of twenty-five songs apiece, but I decided that since I would have to create the record anyway to teach them the songs, I might as well do it myself.
