Kody, 19, has grown up in a close-knit community of achievement thanks to his father Joe Kopp, a native of Mica and widely regarded as one of the most respected riders in American Motorcyclist Association Flat Track racing history.
The younger Kopp has developed his own persona over the past several years, and if he wins a third straight Parts Unlimited AFT Singles championship, Kody’s racing career will be well on its way to setting his own unprecedented records.
Kopp has claimed two titles since 2022, has 16 victories in 36 starts going into this season, four fast time awards during that time, and has never finished outside the top 10 running order in a major event.
