’25th time I’ve watched that exact performance’: Liverpool fans fuming with Arne Slot after Brighton defeat

Liverpool suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League this season, Brighton beat the Reds 2-1, and Arne Slot’s side was probably lucky to avoid a worse scoreline.

In a familiar pattern, the Reds deliver an insipid performance after a convincing game in the Champions League, this time a 4-0 win over Galatasaray.

No Liverpool fan appears to remember that win on Wednesday night, though, as they remain frustrated with the way their team performs on the domestic front.

As in previous weeks, Slot faces the biggest scrutiny. Here’s what fans have to say on social media.

BigMo1: “25th time I’ve watched that exact performance this season.”

The__Pope_: “So the Galatasaray second leg was a false dawn and not a turning point after all? Who could have seen that coming? So fed up of watching the same shit again and again. Our best chance was their defender making a massive mistake, we just don’t create chances consistently”

Laurie: “Galatasaray was the only time I’ve enjoyed watching us play football in about a year and then we go back to default factory settings.”

Unbakronon: “Another day, another game where Slot takes off Konate to just throw every forward onto the pitch with no plan, and Gakpo somehow playing a full 90+ despite being less than f**king useless. To think we had a smattering of hope after Wednesday”
